Key Elements of the Three-Day Workshop:
Led by an expert mathematics teacher, the three-day (eighteen hour) workshop simulates a classroom environment modeling the tools needed to implement The Key Elements to Algebra Success (KEAS) .

• In-depth examination of Algebra 1 content
• Discovery based activities from a perspective of the student:
• Use of manipulatives for concept based lessons
• Making mathematical connections through multiple representations
• Working in collaborative pairs
• Creating graphic organizers
• Building an interactive word wall
• Model lessons and activities
• Infusion of lessons with the traditional textbook
• Practice in presenting concrete instruction  
• Techniques for use with English Language Learners and Special Education students
